My Last 14 weeks---you know, as a mom!

Although I have not blogged in over a year I figured what the hell, might as well dust off the keyboard right? Here is the last 14 weeks synopsis in my world.

July 30.
“Hey Levi-maybe we should take a few months off this baby making thing. I am in a really great place with my workouts and eating and am actually seeing good changes in my body.”

Aug 1
“Ummm Hey LJ, I think we should check this out so we can see what is brewing all up inside me.” Boom. Big FAT Positive. We are having a baby---as in a child—lineage.from.me. Watch out world because this might get crazy. We haven’t been this excited ever. As everyone says, “The moment you stop trying is when you get pregnant.” ….obviously I was already knocked up on July 30th but still. IM GOING TO BE A MOM---OF A HUMAN!!!

Aug 9
Tried to floss my teeth and pulled out a filling. At the dentist… “Ohh you're pregnant? You cant have Novocaine unless we have a Dr. note! You will be fine without it because it is a clean break” That’s some bullshit because homegirl put a drill to my face and promptly carved out more of my tooth and made me want to die. Pregnancy is cool.

Aug 12
Ahhh yes a Pig Lab at work.  Around 7am we did our debrief and  went over protocols and plans for the day. Then we walked through OR 1, and then into the pig holding/prep room. NOPE. Nope, nope, nope, no effing way. Pig smell everywhere. Like they just came from the happiest, dirtiest farm in Shitsville. I’m out. I promptly walked through OR two, back to the debrief room and snagged a bottle of hand sanitizer and put it on my hands and under my nose. I bet I used no less than half of the 4 oz bottle under my nose during the 5 hours that we were at the lab.

SICKKKKY (and it has continued pretty much daily from here on out) Basically, every day I wake up, throw up, towel off the puke sweats, and try to get my life together to go to work. Its pretty great.
This kid is a tiny muffin of destruction. I feel like I have a hangover from after a freshmen year fraternity party.

Aug 22nd
We told levis parents yesterday! They were so happy for us. Here is how it went when we were telling ma and pa novak. Is she not the cutest lady on the face of the planet??

this is the video of her opening her onsie, sorry if you cant see it :(

Sept 2nd
It was the big day where we finally were able to meet the tiny!! Holy wow. Dude baby was kicking and punching and being crazy. He had a heartbeat of 180 and looked perfect. I was measuring 9 weeks today, but my calendar says 8w 4 days…obviously I will be having a giant Novak baby. We are so excited that we can’t even deal right now. Even though ultrasounds of other people creep me out, Im still posting my little gummy bear. Deal with it.

Sept 18th
Things I cannot live without lately:
Frozen ho hos. Yes, I am my father’s daughter.
Tomatos and salt…..just cut up and happy, sometimes I get crazy and add basil.
Chipotle freaking tomato salsa and chips….get out of town with that delish shit.
Super processed cheese wiz right out of the jar, cold, with chips or soft pretzels with loads of salt

Theme??? Salt. Lots of it.

Sept 27th
Our Announcement--Susie called me and said how do you know 380 people on facebook?? You guys got a lot of likes. LOL like I said, she is the cutest.

Oct 1
First Tri Screening---She is cool. Everything is going well. And we are still on track to have a oversized Novak baby (6 days big).

Throughout all of this I still have been working out when I feel up to it. Everyone at Crossfit RTP have been so awesome about modifying all my workouts!  The only difference right now with Sync is that I cant hold a sprint for as long so I just sit when I need to.

So there is that. My last 14 weeks. It is still hard to believe that there is a human inside me.We are so excited!!!! Here is a little 4 weeks vs 14 weeks picture action...and its only the beginning!!

Do great things
Linds
