A realization

Well today something crazy happened in my brain. I was enjoy an easy workout at my apartment complexes baby workout room-minding my own business and watching "pretty woman" to get me through. A woman about 60 years of age came in with her trainer...it was obvious that it was their first time together because they were sitting and chatting ALOT. She was overweight and looking like she wanted to crawl in a hole. I don't blame her- her trainer was a jacked up beautiful confident woman. I even wanted to crawl in a hole lol. Anyway, I was finishing up a short run on the treadmill and of course I was listening in to what was going on...blah blah I hate working out, I'm over weight, I get out of breath. I finished my mile and it was time for my stretch. At this point they finally decided to walk over to the treadmill. Then the beautiful lady said to her trainer something that really hit me. "I haven't walked on a treadmill in over 20 years. I dont think I can do it."

Wow. I can walk, run, skip, jump and do what ever I want on a treadmill. WHY THE HELL AM I SABOTAGING MY LIFE EATING SHIT, WHEN THIS POOR WOMAN WOULD BE ECSTATIC TO WALK TO THE DAMN TREADMILL? Jesus Lindsey get your shit together. You workout like a beast but have no visible results. I guess it is true, you can't out train a shitty diet.

Is Butter A Carb?

"Is butter a carb??" Are you kidding me Regina George? Although, you are what we call a Skinny Fat Girl, I would really love to be starting my journey at the size that you are. But I'm not, so here we are- A "mean girl" at heart writing down her journey for all to read.

I have been kicking around the idea of starting a blog for some time now. Loads of my friends do it, and I anxiously await their posts on facebook that let me know something new is up. Now it is my turn. I figure that I will be able to use the ol' blogski as a bit of accountability to get my ass in gear for my wedding in September. Nobody likes a fat bride. It is totally do-able to drop thirty lbs in 6 months. Some of you reading this may think...Now Lindsey, you know the scale is just a number. Well guess what? Shove it, because I know how I felt when I was lighter and it was wonderful. With that being said-I guess I should say that I want to be/look healthy at my wedding-so everyone says "Damn. She looks good in that dress---Check out her rockin' arms!---Levi is one lucky dude!"  So here is my overall plan in a nutshell: spin, TRX, weights, outside bike, insanity, P90X, and clean eating-weight watchers style. I'm thinking it is a good combo of workouts to not get burnt out and then an eating plan that is sure to work. Now, I just need to suck it up and do it.

As for the blog, the game plan is to post about things that I have learned, thoughts/questions I have, my progress, workouts, wedding updates, and other random crap that flows through my head.
